footnote
this is a complicated thing to acknowledge, but: the everpresent news cycle following the horrors put upon the palestinian people in turn put observers empathetic to the palestinian cause in despair, hopelessness, and general mental unrest. it’s an uncomfortable thing to acknowledge because of course the people in palestine are worse off for the war, but it is still important to be aware of and care for the mental health and humanity of the foreign protestor.
